Time: 15 min No Bake Simple Ingredients
These little bursts of delight are great to have around for those chocolate cravings or for when you want to get a few extra grams of protein in. With the brownie-like texture and deep richness of the cacao, you are sure to satiate a craving while supplying whole nutrients for your temple. Because our body is our temple right? And it feels good to satisfy cravings without all those hidden nasties from store-bought treats and instead nourish our bodies with easy, homemade delights.
Ingredients:
For coating your truffles:
Layer on whatever you like! I like to roll them around in extra cacao powder. Another idea is crushed almonds or peanuts for a little crunch. Maybe cinnamon if you like the combination with cacao. Peanut powder is another option. Or shaved coconut! The options are really limitless here! You can even roll them in ginger powder for a little kick!
Instructions:
In a bowl, stir water into oats and allow to soak for up to 10 minutes, until all water is absorbed. Mix cacao powder and protein powder together removing clumps. Stir all ingredients into the bowl with the oats, mixing well. Using clean hands, massage it all until smooth. Then separate it into pieces and roll the pieces into balls! Either leave it plain or roll the ball around in your coating of choice. I did extra cacao powder for mine. Store in the fridge.
These are super rich so a little goes a long way! Have a hard time just eating one? Make the balls a little smaller, they’ll last you longer!
Enjoy!
